pinyin-database software package provides PinYin database used by ibus-pinyin, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pinyin-database
pinyin-database is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pinyin-database package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pinyin-database *
You will get with pinyin-database package name, version, architecture and description in a table
